when objects work is the vision Beatrice Delafontaine. A Belgian company based in Staden - Belgium, producing exclusive objects designed by leading designers and architects whose work shares a preoccupation with simple forms, immaculate function and a timeless idiom. From its first collection, launched during the MilanFurniture Fair in 2001, when objects work has developed its theme of decorative art as beautiful domestic equipment.
Most of the objects are handcrafted.
Beatrice de Lafontaine set up when objects work in 2000, after a long period working with her husband in their manufacturing company, producing bespoke contemporary furniture and kitchens for well-known architects and private clients.
As a result of her experiences, she identified a need for domestic objects which were both beautiful and function, the only available option being well designed but essentially purposeless pieces.When objects work was launched with the idea of satisfying this need in the fullest and most challenging ways possible.
